Ecommerce Scrum Master – LATAM

The Role:

The Scrum Master will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of software development Agile Sprints on customer projects. This includes planning, scheduling coordinating multi-functional teams of resources, planning capacity, measuring velocity and quality, and creating an environment that is both results oriented and safe. Applicants should be strong, clear communicators and able to understand customer needs, balance those needs with the needs of our world-class developers, and manage multiple (2-3) Scrum teams with ease. The optimal candidate will be an enthusiastic, proactive, tech-minded individual with a professional or collegiate background in a related field, who consistently demonstrates creativity, optimism, and authenticity. Responsibilities will include:

  • Lead software development teams by overseeing Sprint ceremonies, implementation, quality assurance, and validation of programming code and products.
  • Create Sprint plans and timelines; facilitating daily scrums, stand-ups, and meetings to monitor project progress and resolve any issues the team may be experiencing; removing project obstacles; and documenting progress and communicate to appropriate audience.
  • Create and maintaining programmatic and technical documentation to insure efficient planning and execution.
  • Manage documents, reports, and other artifacts related to the execution of software development, quality assurance, and testing.
  • Collaborate with internal and customer stakeholders, including Redstage Project Managers, Technical Architects, UI/UX Designers, Business Analysts, Account Managers, and Practice Managers, and customer project managers, analysts, and product owners.
  • Assess risk to delivery quality and timeliness, and coordinate the successful mitigation and resolution of risks to the Development and Test phases of the project.
  • Deliver high-quality results and successfully executing on project scope utilizing both ecommerce and leadership best practices
  • Execute with urgency, diligence and precision.
  • Learn about each customer’s business and their strategic plan and proactively engaging the appropriate Redstage team members to help further the customer’s strategic goals.
  • Drive internal improvements to enable the Delivery team and Redstage to continue to mature, scale and grow.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years’ professional experience, 7+ years in a technical software development lifecycle role.
  • 3+ year’s experience as a Scrum Master.
  • 3+ years’ experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, and specifically Agile Scrum.
  • Experience as a coach to other team members in Agile practices.
  • Demonstrable experience in ensuring the correct use of Agile Scrum process
  • Ability to track and remove impediment
  • Experience facilitating daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo and retrospective meetings.
  • Resolving conflicts and drive conversations by focusing on scrum values of openness, honesty and respect
  • Forecasting the numbers of deliverables possible in an iteration which is based on evidence and reliable source
  • Leading the team in estimation and planning, ideally in “Poker Planning”
  • Ecommerce system integration and software development project experience
  • Ability to identify risks early and quickly and proactively develop and execute mitigation strategies to address these risks
  • Ability to think outside of the box and put together creative solutions to complex problems
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability (you take pride in what you do – and it shows!)
  • Ability to communicate thoughtfully and impactfully with a diverse range of customers and multi-cultural colleagues
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
  • Authentic desire to grow personally and professionally

Our top applicants will also have:

  • Salesforce B2C, Big Commerce, Shopify, and/or Magento experience, preferably with certifications and training
  • Agency experience with a demonstrated ability to deliver on time
  • Empathy, transparency, flexibility and resiliency
  • Technical background as a software developer, QA Analyst, or systems engineer
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Scrum Master certification
